So today was my first day of college. Can you say, “OMG HEARTATTACK?!” Well, it being my first day of college isn’t the only first I’d taken. It was also my first time driving by myself outside of my neighborhood. And, you can believe I’m a horrible driver right now, but, at least I’m much more comfortable… Although I’d still like some driving with Mommy.. even if she apparently isn’t a very good driver… well, you know, by Daddy’s standards. There will always be that distinct Female vs. Male drivers thing. And I am definitely a female driver. I don’t go over speed limits, I always use my turn signal, and I have no clue what I’m doing 8D I’m actually already quite comfortable with the campus already from the numerous summer visits, lol, so getting there and parking successfully was pretty much my big concern.
I got there.. uhm… over an hour early and a nice parking spot, but the parking lot was very confusing, and I did a kinda tacky parking job.. my truck rear kinda stuck out, but it didn’t go past the linessss. I really suck at parking.
So yea! Waiting for my instructor wasn’t very fun. I giggled though cause his name is Dr. Wilson, like on House (yes, I watch House). My first class of the day was English Composition. Yay for a class that doesn’t require thinking! It was utterly boring though. He is old. Like, older than my grandparents old. He’s also got a sense of humor, rambles, and repeats himself. Also! Our first day he just went over stuff we were completely able to read ourselves. Class ended with writing a short essay-like thing. Before class started, I just drew. I drew a very incorrectly anatomized horse. But yea, I think I’ll have no problem in this class, cause we only have to write four essays and a research paper. When I was in AP English Rhetoric and Composition, we did twice as many essays and they were due basically every week.. Yes, there were more days of AP class, but that’s cause it was high schoolllll.
During my first intermission of 40 minutes, I found my next class and then ran into my high school friend Tim. He is still just as dislikable. We also saw our other high school friend Moriah. Now, I don’t realllyyyyyy like her, but for once she decided to not stick around! The nerve! xD But yea, I just talked to Tim.
The next class I had was Precalculus. My instructor there, Mr. Paola, isn’t all that old, to the point, lacks a monotonous voice, and he seems to teach the way I can learn. The bad thing about this class, Moriah has it with me, so she sits next to me, and a person I went to school with in 4th grade is also in this class, and she’s a jokester/class clown/talkative although she is smartish, so that is really disruptive. I’m definitely looking forward to retaking precalc, lol. Oh yea, I made a friend. His name is Josh. He decided to say hi to me and yea, now we are friends =) I’m pretty much never walking alone ^^
During my second, 40 minute intermission, I ate lunch in the café with Josh and kinda Tim. He left his food in his vehicle, so, we left with a mere ten minutes before class. And… I gave Tim $5 so that he’d go eat something Dx Gr you Tim and your lack of food money.
So, then it was time for my third and final class for the day, Intro to Circuit Analysis. When Josh and I arrived, everyone for our class was standing outside the class.. >.> My first thought was, “Did they try the door? -.-” They didn’t, or whomever got there first was too scared to sit in the empty room. Unfortunately, this class turned out to be filled with lame, stupid people. Cept for me, Tony, and Josh of course, Lol =) As for the instructor, she actually gave us her first name, Mary, so I don’t know what to call her since she also didn’t give a prefix. Aside from that, she’s left-handed, lacks a bit of mathematic expertise, rambles, oh, and she’s younger than my mom. She looks like my mom’s friend Jen. Uhm…. yea. Today’s class was very boring since she rambled and it was filled of stuff I already know from AP Chem.
Once class ended, it was time to leaveeeeee. So, I walked out to the parting lot with Josh, we parted ways since I parked next to the building while he parked a mile away. Then… I sat in my car confused ;-; Stupid parking lot. Regardless, I successfully got home.. although… well.. nothing bad really happened on the drive back.
All in all, I enjoyed my first day… you know, aside from the being bored parts.
